Richard Ednay MIEE, Technical director of OTT, has 20 years of experience in fibre optics covering LANs, datacentres, SANs, MANs, and WANs. He is actively involved in setting standards within the industry, and is a member of the British Standards committees GEL 86/3 (Fibre optic systems and active devices) and TCT7/-/1 (Generic cabling). He is the UK’s Principal Expert on fibre optic cabling testing, representing the UK on the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) SC86C Working Group 1 (Fibre optic systems and active devices).
